Trial and plans

How does the trial work?
Every workspace starts with 14 days on the trial: 5 members, 3 data sources and 1M rows. No card is needed. Choose a plan any time to keep going.
What happens when the trial ends?
The workspace becomes read-only until you choose a plan. Nothing is deleted. If you decide not to continue, you can have your data removed completely: ask us to close the workspace and we delete all of it, including everything held in the warehouse.
What does read-only mean?
Everyone can still open dashboards, run queries and export. Nothing can be created, edited or loaded, and scheduled loads pause. The same applies if a subscription lapses.
Is there a free plan?
No. Vantage hosts and refreshes your data on infrastructure we run, which has a real cost from the first row. Instead, every workspace gets a 14-day trial with no card, so you can load real data and decide with evidence.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Move up or down from the billing page at any time. The change applies straight away and the charge is prorated for the rest of the billing period.
What happens when I reach a limit?
Nothing you have already built stops working. A load that would go past your rows, or a source or member beyond your plan, is declined with a message naming the plan that lifts the limit.
Can I add more members?
Yes. Each member beyond your plan's number is $12 a month, or $120 a year on a yearly plan, without moving up a plan.
Why are plans priced by rows?
Every plan includes the hosted warehouse, the loading pipelines and the semantic layer, which most BI tools leave you to buy and run separately. Rows stored is what drives that cost, so it is what plans are sized by, alongside members and refresh frequency.

Your data

Do I need my own data warehouse?
No. Vantage hosts your data, loads and models it for you, so there is no separate warehouse to pay for. Each plan includes the rows it lists.
Which sources can I connect?
CSV and Parquet uploads, database sync with change capture, Airbyte connections and OpenFN pipelines, with incremental loads on a schedule. Tables already in your workspace warehouse can be used directly.
Where is my data stored, and who can see it?
On infrastructure we operate at a cloud hosting provider in Europe. Each workspace has its own warehouse database and its own read-only query user, and every query is limited to your workspace on the server, never by the browser. Inside a workspace, roles decide who can view, edit or administer.

Can I get my data out?
Yes, at any time and on any plan, including read-only. Export widgets and query results to CSV or Excel, and dashboards to PDF or PNG.
How do I delete my data?
Sources, dashboards and projects you remove in the app are removed from the workspace. To delete everything, including all warehouse data and account records, write to support@bytefount.com and we close the workspace. Billing records are kept only as long as tax law requires.
Can we host Vantage on our own premises?
Yes. Vantage can run on your own servers or in your own cloud account, with the same warehouse, pipelines and dashboards as the hosted service, so your data never leaves your network. Self-hosting is part of the Enterprise plan: use Contact sales on the pricing page or write to sales@bytefount.com.
Do you support single sign-on?
SSO is available on request on the Business plan and included in Enterprise. Every other plan signs in through our own hosted identity service.

AI

What does Vantage AI send, and can I turn it off?
AI is off until a workspace owner or admin turns it on. With it on, Vantage sends Anthropic the question or prompt you type (including SQL you ask about), error messages with data values removed, and your workspace's model metadata: the names, types and descriptions of datasets, columns, metrics and dashboards. Your rows are sent only if an admin also turns on figures features, the weekly digest and chart explanations, and then only the aggregated figures shown. Anthropic does not train on it. Turn either switch off at any time under AI.

Billing

How does yearly billing work?
A yearly plan costs ten months for twelve, paid once a year.
Who handles payment and invoices?
Paddle.com, our reseller, is the merchant of record. It takes payment, issues invoices and collects and remits any sales tax or VAT. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax, which is added at checkout, and we never see your full card number.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page and you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. After that the workspace becomes read-only, and nothing is deleted unless you ask.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Ask within 30 days of your first payment for a full refund. After that, cancel any time and keep your plan to the end of the period.
